Rusty was born and raised in middle Tennessee where he promptly retreated and still resides after a short stint in Virginia for graduate studies. President of his high school's student body, Rusty suffers from an undiagnosed case of social anxiety disorder which he continues to try to overcome by putting himself in situations well outside of his comfort zone. He currently lives in Franklin, TN with his wife Sunny (she's the outgoing one) and daughter Brook (she's the silly one) where he heads the design studio juggernaut, rusty mitchell design.
